Routes to Parenthood show comes to Scotland

The UK’s first series of fertility and adoption shows is coming to Scotland. On 13 September 2015, the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa host Routes to Parenthood Scotland; a show designed to attract people looking at alternative ways to become parents.

The show boasts a variety of exhibitors from local and European IVF clinics to national adoption agencies and fertility product specialists. One of the attractions of the show is the impressive line-up of seminar speakers which includes Dr. Marco Gaudoin of GCRM, Hannah Latham of We are Family Magazine, and Pride Angel’s founder Erika Tranfield.

The shows were set up by Andrew and Olivia Sanderson, adoptive parents, who have had first-hand experience of fertility treatment. On setting up a show in Scotland, Olivia, Show Director comments:

“We don’t know of anything quite like this in Scotland. The need to seek alternative routes to parenthood arises everywhere, so it was important to us to cover a good spread of the UK. We are delighted to be able to host a show here, and hope that everyone who visits gets what they want out of it.”

The Routes to Parenthood show has been created to help the visitors get the information they need and enable them to make the right decision about their future. To this end, Andrew and Olivia have implemented a number of initiatives to help people feel more comfortable:

An informal appointment system has been created to allow visitors to ‘book’ in a time slot with exhibitors to ensure they don’t miss out on speaking to the expert of their choice. The team have also made the seminars free to attend, and put in place a private consultation area to help visitors feel more relaxed about speaking to doctors and specialists.

The Routes to Parenthood show starts at 10am on Sunday 13 September at the Inchyra Suite. Tickets are £5.70 online and £7.50 on the door. Tickets can be booked atwww.routestoparenthood.co.uk.
