The World Health Organisation has defined a man's fertility on the basis of the concentration of sperm in semen, with the cut-off point being set at 20 million sperm per mL of sperm. The Babystart FertilCount Sperm Count Test is a unique home test that will tell you if a man's sperm concentration is greater or less than the WHO cut off point. A positive result is a promising indicator, although it is not guaranteed proof of fertility.

Testing for low sperm count in men--how does it work?

The Babystart FertilCount Sperm Count Test cassette simply works by staining the sperm cells (DNA) in a semen sample to produce a blue colour. The more sperm cells that are stained in the sample then the darker the 'test well' becomes.

Clinical trials have rated the Babystart FertilCount Sperm Count Test to have a 97% accuracy in identifying whether a sample is above or below the WHO cut off point for fertility: 20 million per mL of sperm.
