Finestripe Productions are producing a new factual series for the BBC about the growing number of people in the UK and around the world who are choosing to conceive and raise a baby with a purely platonic partner. Through this documentary we are reflecting and exploring an aspect of modern life, and family, which is happening in many parts of the world.
We would like to talk in confidence to anyone with first-hand experience of co-parenting in a platonic partnership, or if they have decided to take the step of having a baby with a platonic partner and would like to share their story, we would love to hear from them.
The documentary will follow people through their co-parenting journey, exploring the dynamics of the platonic parenting style of raising a child, and as part of the process we will explore the support network which provides the legal, financial and emotional support available.
