Messaging Credits

Once you have registered with Pride Angel you may either purchase message credits to contact other members via our PAYG system or alternatively you can upgrade to become a Premium member, which will give you monthly message credits along with many other benefits.

All funds from message credits and premium membership subscriptions go directly back into the hosting and running of the Pride Angel website, to ensure this valuable service is continued.

We recommend taking your time in browsing through profiles prior to purchasing message credits to make sure that finding a donor or co-parent through Pride Angel is the right decision for you.

Please be aware that finding the right donor or co-parent can take time and perserverance. This is why we have created a system whereby message credits don't run out after a certain time. This way you are under no presure to use message credits up.

How to get a better reply rate to messages sent

Sometimes we here that people dont get a reply from the donors or co-parents they contact. In order to get a better chance of a reply please try the following recommendations:

  • Send messages to donors or co-parents who have been active on the website over the last few months. A donor who hasn't logged in for a year, may have changed their email address and not received your message.
  • Always include a photo image within your profile. Im sure you tend to look at profiles which have an image. Donors and co-parents also want to see what you look like, so including a nice photo will help you get a reply.
  • Fill in information about yourself within your profile, to include the type of donor or co-parent you are looking for
  • Fill in the 'about us' section within your profile, so that your donor or co-parent knows more about you
  • Send a friendly message with lots of information. Try to avoid short messages such as 'will you donate to me'

Replying to messages:  website etiquette

If you receive a message from another user, great news! you have obviously completed your profile and attracted some interest.

You may be happy to pursue communications with the other person and get to know each other better before deciding to give out any personal information.

However you may not feel ready reply to someone who has contacted you, maybe they are not what you are looking for? or it's just not the right time yet?

Please may we request though that you do kindly reply to any messages you receive, giving a simple reply such as:

  • 'Many thanks for your message, however we are not quite ready to find a donor yet'
  • 'Many thanks for contacting me, but I have already found someone to help'

Just checking out the site

If you are not quite ready to find your donor or co-parent yet, but are just wanting to check out the site, that's no problem. To save other members sending you messages though please write a comment in your profile e.g.
'Just looking at the moment' or 'found a donor who is happy to help'

Alternatively you may choose to make your profile 'private' , within the 'edit profile' section, so you will not be seen by other members.

NOTE: Please may we remind members that email addresses are not permitted within personal profiles or forum entries. Our internal mail system is for the safety of our users.

Emails addresses should only be given to other members following contact through our internal mail and then only when you feel totally comfortable and happy to do so.
