What's on at Brighton Pride 2017

Brighton Pride attracts celebrating pride crowds of around 300,000 people over the course of the weekend.

Each year the festival has a different theme and this year it’s Summer of Love.

The Brighton Pride festival launches with the Pride parade on Saturday August 5, to mark 50 years since homosexuality was partially decriminalised.

What other events will be on for the Pride festival weekend?

Victoria Gardens and the Old Steine will be transformed to The Pride Pleasure Gardens for the three days and nights of the festival.

You can catch Lucy Spraggan and S Club Party on Friday, Sink The Pink will be playing Saturday, and Brut BearFest on Sunday.

Unfortunately, tickets are sold out for Saturday but some are available on the door.

Pride Village party will take place Saturday from 6pm and Sunday from 3pm, however tickets are sold out from the online store and will need to be purchased from the box office.

The Pride Village Party will see St James’s Street and Marine Parade closed off to traffic and the Pride celebrations will rule the streets for Saturday and Sunday night.

You can watch the Pride fireworks display on Sunday August 6 at 9:30pm from Brighton Palace Pier.

Preston Park will be filled with the Main Stage, the Wild Fruit Dance Tent, the Legends Cabaret Tent, Bears and Men’s Dance tent and many more eclectic wonders to enjoy.

Who else is performing?

You will be able to catch main headliners Pet Shop Boys and Years and Years on the main stage, as well as supporting acts: Louisa Johnson, Becky Hill and Fickle Friends.

Pride Pleasure Gardens will also feature Frankie Furlow and DJ Sean Quinn.

Community and Market stalls

Come along and visit one of the many LGBT community and market stalls. Pride Angel parenting connection website, will be attending Brighton Pride to give help and advice for those looking to start a family.
